Our forensic engineering clients include insurance companies, restoration contractors, and building owners. We also provide expert witness services for law firms representing clients involved in construction-related litigation.
Typically, the forensic engineering project contains the following steps:
1. Visiting the site to assess the damage, to take photographs and measurements, and to gather other pertinent information.
2. Determining the probable cause of the damage.
3. Consulting the International Existing Building Code to determine the repair requirements.
4. Determining necessary repair procedures and the creating any drawings necessary for a contractor to implement the repairs.
5. Writing a report documenting the damage, our opinion of the probable cause, and summarizing the repair procedures.
