Industrial engineering is a unique type of engineering requiring a different level of expertise and experience. Industrial projects generally emphasize function above other considerations. Often these types of projects are not visible to the general public. For instance, the polymer precast manholes we design are below ground and out of site of the public, yet they form part of the infrastructure the public relies on. When we design these types of projects, we work closely with the contractor and, often, the product supplier and project owner, to ensure the final construction meets the project requirements and is efficient to construct.

Architectural & Structural Prestressed Precast Concrete
We assist multiple precast concrete companies to design structures as diverse as parking structures, multi-story office buildings, warehouses, architectural precast cladding, ballistic protection walls, and fences. We work closely with the precaster to ensure the design matches the unique capabilities of the precaster and can be delivered and erected in the most efficient manner possible. We also work with architects and developers to evaluate the benefits of using precast on their projects.
Precast concrete consists of concrete members formed and cast at a precast plant, and then shipped to the jobsite for construction. Precast concrete has many advantages, some of which are
- Decreased construction time because components can be fabricated off-site while the construction site is being prepared
- Intricate architectural finishes
- Unique geometry and architectural features
- The ability to add prestressing strand, allowing for spans longer than those that can be achieved with typically-reinforced concrete.
